HABARI GANI
Pronounced Habari like Jabari, Gani like Donny means 'What's the news?' in Swahili.
During Kwanzaa we greet each other with Habari Gani and respond with the principle
of the day.

WADDUP DOE
Is how we say hey, whats happening, and is a greeting in Detroit.
So Habari Gani, Waddup doe is a unique KwanzaaMe phrase reflecting our Detroit and
African roots.
