I Created KwanzaaMe for You

Have you ever

  • Been in a room where you didn't know anyone?

  • Left a cultural event inspired to build community & learn?

  • Wanted to engage w/histories & traditions, but needed help?

Well, KwanzaaMe is here for you.

We’re here to help you connect, reflect, and celebrate—whether it’s through meaningful gatherings, guided reflections, or everyday reminders of culture and community.

Hi, I’m Lawrielle West, founder of KwanzaaMe. I started this journey because I wanted to create more than just a brand—I wanted to build a space where Black culture, history, and joy could be celebrated every day, not just during the holidays. KwanzaaMe is my way of sharing that love, whether through curated products, workshops, or community programs.

I’ve always believed that culture is meant to be experienced, not just studied. Growing up, I saw how meaningful traditions could shape a family, a community, and a sense of self. Through KwanzaaMe, I get to help families, communites, schools, and organizations connect to these traditions in ways that feel fun, authentic, and accessible.

KwanzaaMe started with a focus on Kwanzaa, but over time it has grown into year-round programming that celebrates Black heritage, uplifts communities, and sparks conversation. Every product—from Kwanzaa candles to journals, shirts, and guided experiences—reflects a simple idea: small, intentional actions can create lasting connection.

I love partnering with schools, community organizations, and workplaces to create workshops and experiences that are both educational and inspiring. I also speak and consult with teams who want to integrate cultural practices into their programs in meaningful ways. My goal is always the same: to create spaces where culture is celebrated, values are practiced, and communities thrive.
